5 Pillars to Support
Your Successful Launch
Pillar 1: Onboarding & Orientation
Review site systems (IEP platforms, scheduling, data), FERPA/HIPAA-in-schools, safety/escalation workflows.
Pillar 2: Direct Supervision
Partake in planned observations with pre‑briefs and structured feedback notes that you can reuse for reflection.
Pillar 3: Indirect Supervision
Receive case conferences, documentation review, collaboration planning, and family communication coaching.
Pillar 4: Goal-Driven Growth
We use a simple 30/60/90 framework for each segment to set targets, supports, and evidence of growth.
Pillar 5: Right‑Sized Intensity
We increase supervision time above the minimum requirements whenever case complexity or performance indicates.
Professional Development in Action
The ESS Clinical Launch program goes beyond the basics to help you thrive in school-based practice.
Clinical Refreshers
Strengthen your skills through evidence‑based practice refreshers tailored to school populations (language, articulation, fluency, AAC, pragmatic language).
Documentation Skills
Hands-on IEP writing clinics and data-collection strategies drive meaningful student progress reporting.
Collaboration Strategies
Interdisciplinary collaboration prepares you to work seamlessly with teachers, psychologists, OTs, PTs, and administrators.
Program Guardrails and Quality
- Aligned to current ASHA CF supervision expectations for structure and documentation.
- Early‑alert triggers for missed timelines or risk indicators with rapid remediation plans (2–6 weeks).
- Simple tracking: a log that distinguishes direct vs indirect supervision and summarizes progress by segment.
- Note: We tailor supervision cadence and resources to state and district policies. Always verify local requirements that may add to ASHA’s expectations.
Optional Add-Ons
We can customize your clinical fellowship to best suit your needs with add-ons such as:
- CEU stipend or licensure reimbursement support.
- Extra observation blocks for complex caseloads or specialized programs (e.g., AAC, autism support classrooms).
- Peer shadowing across campuses or telepractice support where allowed.
