Supporting Positive Behavior,
Unlocking Student Potential

School behavioral specialists play a critical role in supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional success. At ESS Clinical, these professionals work closely with students who benefit from additional behavioral support, helping them develop positive behaviors, build coping skills, and successfully engage in the classroom environment.

Through evidence-based strategies and consistent support, behavioral specialists help reduce barriers to learning while promoting safe, inclusive, and productive school communities. Working alongside educators, administrators, and families, they create and implement plans that empower students to reach their full potential.

Explore Behavioral Support Roles

  • Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs)
RBTs provide direct, one-on-one support to students, implementing behavior plans and reinforcing positive behaviors. They play a hands-on role in helping students build skills and navigate daily classroom expectations.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
BCBAs design, oversee, and evaluate behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA). They conduct assessments, analyze data, and collaborate with school teams to develop effective strategies that support student growth and success.
  • Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs)
BCaBAs work under the supervision of BCBAs to help implement and monitor behavior plans. They assist with data collection, support program development, and help ensure consistency in behavioral interventions across settings.
  • Behavior Specialists
Behavior Specialists work closely with students and school staff to address behavioral challenges and promote positive outcomes. They help develop strategies, provide coaching, and support the implementation of behavior plans in the classroom.
  • Behavior Interventionists (BIs)
Behavior Interventionists provide targeted support to students with specific behavioral needs. They work directly with students to reinforce positive behaviors, support emotional regulation, and help create a more structured and supportive learning environment.
