Explore School Therapist Opportunities

School therapists play a vital role in helping students succeed both inside and outside of the classroom. At ESS Clinical, our therapy professionals support students with diverse needs – helping them build communication, motor, and functional life skills that empower them to thrive academically and socially.

Whether working one-on-one, in small groups, or collaborating with educators and families, school-based therapists are essential members of the student support team. Their work goes beyond therapy sessions; they help remove barriers to learning and create pathways for long-term success.

Speech-Language Pathology

Speech language pathologists support students in developing the communication skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.  Working collaboratively with educators and families, they provide targeted support that builds confidence and fosters meaningful connections.

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)

SLPs help students improve communication skills, including speech, language, fluency, and social communication. They assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders, enabling students to better express themselves and engage in the classroom.

Bilingual SLPs

Bilingual SLPs provide specialized support to students who are multilingual or English language learners. They deliver culturally and linguistically appropriate services, ensuring accurate assessments and effective communication support.

SLP Clinical Fellows (CFs)

Clinical Fellows are early-career SLPs completing their supervised professional experience. Through ESS Clinical's LAUNCH Program, CFs gain hands-on experience within the school setting while receiving mentorship and guidance as they transition into fully licensed professionals.

Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs)

SLPAs work under the supervision of licensed SLPs to implement treatment plans, support therapy sessions, and track student progress. They play a key role in extending the reach and effectiveness of speech services.

Occupational and Physical Therapy

School occupational and physical therapists play a key role in supporting students' mobility, motor skills, sensory processing, and daily functional tasks. These professionals ensure students can access the classroom, engage in learning, and build independence both in school and in everyday life.

  • Occupational Therapists (OTs)
OTs help students develop the skills needed for daily school activities, such as writing, using classroom tools, and maintaining focus. They support fine motor skills, sensory processing, and independence in the school environment.
  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
COTAs assist OTs in delivering therapy services, working directly with students to reinforce skill development and implement treatment strategies.
  • Physical Therapists (PTs)
PTs support students with mobility challenges, helping them improve strength, balance, coordination, and physical access to the school environment. Their work ensures students can safely and effectively participate in school activities.
  • Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs)
PTAs work under the direction of PTs to carry out therapy plans and provide hands-on support to students, helping them build physical skills and independence.
